Best coastal walks in Sydney: Bondi to Coogee or Spit to Manly?
We have time for one major 2-3 hour coastal hike in Sydney. Which one offers the best ocean views, beaches, and coffee stops along the way?

Bondi to Coogee is iconic! 6km of paved dramatic cliffs, Icebergs pool, Tamarama, and Gordon's Bay. Finish with a cold beer at the Coogee Pavilion rooftop!

Having lived in Sydney for about three years now, I've done both of these dozens of times with visiting friends! Given your 2-3 hour timeframe and request for frequent coffee stops, **Bondi to Coogee** is definitely your best bet. It's roughly 6km of paved paths along dramatic ocean cliffs, passing iconic beaches like Tamarama and Bronte. You're never more than 20 minutes away from a great cafeโgrab a flat white at Bronte Beach for about $5 AUD, and finish up with a cold drink at the Coogee Pavilion.
The Spit to Manly walk is equally stunning, but it's closer to 10km (taking 3.5+ hours) and feels much more like a secluded bushwalk through Sydney Harbour National Park. It has incredible harbour views and hidden coves, but far fewer beach cafes along the actual track until you reach Manly itself.
Bottom line: Go with Bondi to Coogee for classic ocean views, easy swimming spots, and vibrant beach culture. Just start early (around 8 AM) to beat the midday heat and the crowds!
