England Is Losing Its Coastline Faster Than Ever
Additional Video Information
Walk the Cleveland Way near Whitby and you'll see warning signs telling you to stay away from the edge — because the edge itself is disappearing. This coastline is one of the fastest-eroding in all of Europe, losing up to 4 meters of land a year, sometimes 20 meters in a single storm. Whole villages have already vanished this way — one lost its main road in 1780, another lost most of itself in a single storm in 1829. Government data now predicts hundreds more homes will be gone by 2105 — and some as soon as this year. elso-tv / Reddit ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our Social Media: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This video is made for entertainment purposes.
